KeyPoint Government Solutions Director and Program Manager in Fairfax, Virginia

KeyPoint Government Solutions is currently seeking candidates for a Director and Program Manager. Candidates for this opening must be located in Fairfax, VA or include a cover letter explaining relocation plans.

The Program Manager effectively supervises, coaches, mentors, evaluates and provides guidance on the set up and continued operation for the contract(s) of oversight. The Program Manager maintains overall responsibility for communicating contractual requirements to the appropriate areas of the business and is responsible for reporting on programs including program risks, performance status and resolution plans to senior management and the customer. The Program Manager is responsible for client interactions and has the authority to implement action to meet contract requirements and deliverables. The Program Manager is the lead for ensuring effective and compliant delivery and contractual performance for all assigned programs. Additionally this role is responsible for planning and executing assigned programs to strict deadlines and within program budget.

Essential Functions:

  • Continually monitors the case work flow and distribution of items within the contract

  • Communicate with clients to provide required services and ensure overall satisfaction

  • Actively participates in continuous improvement efforts with appropriate teams

  • Maintains contractual compliance on programs and responsible for resolving internal conflicts with other members to meet contractual specifications

  • Participate in the writing and oversight of capture and proposals for future and present programs

  • Develop inter-company plans with program teams and operational departments who will be supplying products and services to satisfy contract deliverables

  • P/L performance of all Programs

  • Professional development and management of key staff members through effective goal setting, performance management, training opportunities, coaching, and mentoring

  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s values and Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

  • Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the company’s values, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and applicable compliance policies

  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

  • Regular travel required (up to 25%)

  • Bachelor’s Degree; equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree. Master’s Degree preferred

  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred

  • 3+ years of direct work experience in a program management capacity, including all aspects of life cycle management/process development

  • Strong background and understanding of government agencies, security policy, and regulations

  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management with experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential

  • Strong motivation and leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals

Federal Background Investigation REQUIRED please read.

The selected candidate for this position must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated government background investigation. This background investigation requires U.S. citizenship and will include an investigation of 10+ years of history including financial, education, employment, medical, residence, and personal records. The cost of this investigation will be paid by KeyPoint.
