KeyPoint Government Solutions Payroll Specialist in Loveland, Colorado

Overview:

KeyPoint Government Solutions is currently seeking candidates for a Payroll Specialist. Candidates for this opening must be located in Loveland, CO or surrounding area or include a cover letter explaining relocation plans.

This position is responsible for system auditing, producing payroll reports, and processing payroll transactions. It utilizes knowledge of tax laws by state to ensure internal payroll compliance. Provides guidance on policies and procedures to employees and works closely with the Payroll Manager. Reviews and resolves issues with timesheets. Work requires practical knowledge of organization payroll policy, government regulations, and tax requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists Payroll Manager with special projects such as auditing data integrity in all systems

  • Coordinates with Human Resources on all New Hire information

  • Reviews W-4s and maintains Federal, State and Local state tax compliance for employee tax withholding

  • Audit PA and OH for employee tax set-up quarterly to ensure proper set-up and forms on file

  • Shares responsibility for NetSuite Support email box

  • Shares responsibility for maintaining and creating tasks in NetSuite as well as adding employees to project per manager request

  • Assist employees with questions regarding hours worked and time off accruals

  • Processes the SCA vacation payout once a month

  • Responsible for review of accruals and re-class of time used each payroll period

  • Stays current on changes to Sick Leave requirements at state level, make any recommendations for change to current policies

  • Responsible for all PTO accruals process and documentation of that process

  • Enters all Leave of Absence employee time into NetSuite weekly and maintains tracking log and reconciles with HR

  • Maintains appropriate records to support all payroll transactions

  • Processes Correcting Timesheets

  • Complete Exempt Review of hours for payroll processing

  • Responsible for Department of Labor reporting monthly

  • Responsible for bi-weekly ACA and WOTC reporting

  • Handle all JP Morgan bank exceptions and lost checks/stop payments for employees

  • Provide communication from Payroll to all Employees as needed

  • Reconcile and post 3rd party Sick pay

  • Provides support and acts as back-up for Payroll Manager

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree

  • FPC or CPP payroll certification preferred

  • Four years’ experience in a payroll department with multi-state payroll preferred

  • UltiPro experience preferred

  • NetSuite experience preferred

  • Knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices and procedures

  • U.S. citizenship (required for federal security clearance)

Federal Background Investigation REQUIRED please read.

The selected candidate for this position must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated government background investigation. This background investigation requires U.S. citizenship and will include an investigation of 10+ years of history including financial, education, employment, medical, residence, and personal records. The cost of this investigation will be paid by KeyPoint.
